2
Records Release

Please download and sign the TADS “Authorization for Transfer of Student Records” and submit it to your child’s current school. We need records from at least two prior years of schooling, along with any evaluations or therapy reports. Incoming fifth through 8th graders must submit handwritten responses to the essay questions in the TADS application.

3
Interview

After your application and all records have been received, an in-person interview with faculty will be scheduled for viable applicants. Please note that for early childhood applicants, this is a parent only interview. For Grades applications, you and your child will meet with their prospective teacher.

4
Class Visit

Based on the interview, your child will be invited for a school visit. Nursery and kindergarten applicants will spend a few hours in their respective classroom. Rising first graders will be scheduled for a one-day visit and students entering all other grades will visit their prospective class for three days.

5
Admission Decision

Once the visit has been completed, the admission decision is made, in consult with our full faculty. Parents are contacted by the Enrollment Director with the admission decision and any additional requirements.

6
Agreement to Enroll

If your child is invited to join the Waldorf School of New Orleans, your registration and deposit are required within five business days. Your non-refundable deposit initially secures the student’s seat, and a billing agreement is generated. Signing the billing agreement finalizes enrollment at Waldorf School of New Orleans.

Wait-pool

Once a class is at capacity, a wait-pool is established. Our teachers make the final determination of who will be admitted to their classes, as seats become available.
