Kennedy Brown Scholarship

Waldorf School of New Orleans offers a select number of scholarships each year to qualifying students residing in the 7th Ward / Treme-Lafitte neighborhood.

## Tuition Adjustment Plan

- Once students are accepted, interested families may apply for Tuition Adjustment for students from Nursery through Grade 8.
- Timely submission of the Tuition Adjustment application (PFS) and documents is required; awards will not be granted without all required documents (see below).
- Incomplete applications will not reviewed by the Tuition Adjustment Committee.
- The Tuition Adjustment Committee grants assistance on the basis of demonstrated financial need and availability of funds.
- All Tuition Adjustment awards are made for one year only and will be reviewed annually.
- A family’s personal lifestyle choices that result in increased expenses or decreased income cannot be underwritten by the Tuition Adjustment fund.
- The Tuition Adjustment process is held in strict confidence and with deep respect for privacy.
- Tuition Adjustment applications are only considered in cases where all balances and fees are current.
- Waldorf School of New Orleans Supply Fees, Facility Fees, and Instrument Fees are not eligible for Tuition Adjustment.
- The maximum amount awarded is forty percent (40%) of tuition.
- This comprehensive application will take some time to complete. Give yourself the time you need by not waiting until our deadline approaches. You are required to submit your 2025 Tax Returns to complete the Tuition Adjustment Application, so prepare your taxes as soon as possible. You can use an estimate based on your prior year’s tax returns for the Parents’ Financial Statement, but your 2025 Tax Return is required for a complete application.

## What We Need

1. Tax Return
2. W2 Form
3. Self employed parents: 1040 (With all schedules and worksheets)
4. 1099 Form
5. If requesting financial aid please provide a statement of need letter outlining your situation and any extenuating circumstances

## Important Dates

- **February 11:** deadline to notify Enrollment Director in writing if your child(ren) will not be returning next school year
    - Deadline to notify Business Manager in writing if you would like to change your payment plan
- **March 2:** non-refundable deposit will be withdrawn from your payment method on file with TADS
- **March 6:**your child(ren)’s reserved space will be opened to new applicants if deposit has not been paid
